Dot Day

On Thursday it was International Dot Day. This day is inspired by Peter H. Reynold's book "The Dot" which celebrates creativity. All. grade 1/2 classes participated in a collaborative dot art project which you can see on display in the hallway on Thursday evening during the Open House.

Math Patterns

We continue to explore patterns. We looked at what kids of attributes patterns can have, where we see patterns in our world as well as in Nature. We explored this during our work period with Nomenclature cards and sketching techniques. Ask your child what kinds of patterns they can find on a calendar or in your own backyard!
