Week at Glance

  May 28     Journal     We started the week by writing about our weekend.  The children continue to be encouraged to write down as many sounds as they hear in their writing.      2D Shapes      2D Shapes were reviewed this week. The children were asked to draw their own home using 2D shapes. They were then asked to describe what shape they used for each part of their home  ie : rectangle for the garage or front door.     Thriller Flash Mob     On Thursday morning,  the children were thrilled to participate in a School-Wide Thriller Flash Mob on the school field to celebrate Mrs. Jones.  PM Kindergarten children were able to show their Thriller Dance to Mrs. Jones in the afternoon.       Upcoming Dates:     June 4 – AM Kinders attend   June 11 - P M Kinders attend   June 18 -  AM Kinders attend   June 24 – Last day of school for AM Kinders   June 25 - P M Kinders attend-last day of  schoo l       Have a wonderful weekend!     Michelle Romanko and Julie  Kawchuk

  May 14     Thank you to all the students for working hard while at home this week.        We appreciate that you are assisting your child during our Google Meets, please remember that only your child should be visible on the screen. May 7th Yellow   We focused on the  colour  Yellow this week.  Ask your child what they drew that was yellow.      Mother's Day     We hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day this weekend.  The student's enjoyed making a gift for you.  If you haven't seen it already, they may have hidden it away and plan to share it with you on Sunday!     Days of the Week     We reviewed the Days of the Week by listening and watching a Jack Hartmann video. We talked about what yesterday, today and tomorrow is.      At Home Learning     We hope you all received the package sent home with your child on Thursday. Our schedule, links and  printables  (if needed) will be posted on Google Classroom prior to Monday for the week.      The Kindergarten At Home Learning expectation laid out by CBE is about 90 mins per day of teacher time/work period time.
