Week at A Glance

  November 27     Letter S     This week we learned about the Letter S and the /s/ sound.  The action for the /s/ sound is to put your hands over your head as if you are diving into a wave.       Numbers 1 and 2     We talked about numbers 1 and 2 this week.  We practiced writing these numbers in our books and we made sets of these numbers.     Google Classroom/Google Meet     We took a look at our Google Classroom today!  We got a peek at some of the responsible work choices that are available if the students wish to use them.  We started a Google Meet so the students can see what it looks like to see their teacher on the screen.       If you have not read the Google Classroom email sent a few weeks ago please do so ASAP.  We are required to make sure that all students are ready to go before Winter Break to enable a transition to our 'At Home" Learning the week of January 4-8.      Social Studies     As part of our Social Studies program, we are studying family culture and tr

Volunteers Needed

  From School Council: Hello parents of Lake Bonavista School!      We need your help. Our Freezer Feastival fundraiser has been a success and now we need to get all the purchases into the vehicles! This Friday, November 27, we are in need of 6 more volunteers for curbside pick-up of orders. This will be done safely outside adhering to COVID-19 protocols. The weather is looking lovely for Friday, please come prepared with a mask and appropriate outerwear.    The time slots available are 3 people from 12:00 - 3:15 pm for deliveries, and 3 people from 3:15 - 4:15 for cleanup.   These proceeds from our fundraising events benefit our children. School Shirt Day and Google Classroom

  NEW : T-shirt Day Friday November 27.  Wear your Lake Bonavista School T-Shirt on Friday!         -PM Kinders can wear their tomorrow afternoon (Nov 26)   Google Classroom     A reminder that an email was sent on November 17 with instructions on how to get your child set up with Google Classroom and Raz-Kids.  If you have not done this yet, please do as soon as possible.  It will be our communication source during Online At Home Learning January 4-8.       If you need help getting Google Classroom set up please let us know.     Michelle Romanko and Julie  Kawchuk
