Week at A Glance

 November 27

Letter S

This week we learned about the Letter S and the /s/ sound.  The action for the /s/ sound is to put your hands over your head as if you are diving into a wave.

Numbers 1 and 2

We talked about numbers 1 and 2 this week.  We practiced writing these numbers in our books and we made sets of these numbers.

Google Classroom/Google Meet

We took a look at our Google Classroom today!  We got a peek at some of the responsible work choices that are available if the students wish to use them.  We started a Google Meet so the students can see what it looks like to see their teacher on the screen.

If you have not read the Google Classroom email sent a few weeks ago please do so ASAP.  We are required to make sure that all students are ready to go before Winter Break to enable a transition to our 'At Home" Learning the week of January 4-8.

Social Studies

As part of our Social Studies program, we are studying family culture and traditions. Children are invited to find an object that shows something about their family's culture, traditions or interests in their homes and take a photo of the object to send to their teacher. Each child will have the opportunity to describe the object and tell why it is important in front of the class on Tuesday, December 8.

Please email the photo to your child's teacher before this date.

Sensory walk

On Friday, the AM Kindergarten children went out for a walk around our school field to use their senses. Ask your child what they were able to see, hear, feel or smell on the walk.
