Week at a Glance

 April 16

Letter Zz

This week we reviewed the letter Zz. The sound/action is pretending to zip up a zipper.  It was tricky to come up with Zz words, ask your child to tell you what 'Zz' words they put in their book.

Social Studies

We read a story about different groups that children can belong to. We then brainstormed what groups we all belong to such as our family, community, school, class, various sports and clubs. The children drew about two groups they belong to in their world as well as labeled the illustration.

Math

This week, the children were given the task of choosing and representing a number that was more than 4 and less than 10. Ask your child what number they chose.  Repeating this task with different numbers helped them understand that there can be more than 1 correct answer.
