Google Classroom and Raz Kids 

 

We have recently learned that CBE no longer allows See Saw to support online learning - we will now be using Google Classroom.  We will also be using Raz-Kids, an online reading program.  

 

Next week  you will receive an email which contains: 

 

-your child's CBE Google Email 

-your child's CBE Google password 

-Google Classroom Login Instructions 

-Raz-Kids password and Login instructions. 

 

If you have any questions, please send an email or we can discuss during conferences. 

 

EYE (Early Years Evaluation) Report 

 

Your child's EYE report will be sent home next week.  Please review prior to your learning conference as we will take some time to discuss the report.   

     

Learning Conferences 

 

A Reminder that Learning Conferences occur next week.  Here is the information that was sent to each Kindergarten family in School Messenger on Tuesday.   

 

LBS families of Kindergarten children, 

  

A separate Kindergarten schedule has been created for the upcoming Learning Conference. Wednesday afternoon has been added to the schedule. The Kindergarten schedule is accessible through your MyCBE account. If you also have children in Grades 1 – 6, the other Learning Conference Schedule will need to be used to book a time with their teacher(s). 

 

Virtual Learning Conferences for Kindergarten: 

Wednesday, November 18 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm à Ms. Romanko only 

Thursday, November 19 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm 

Friday, November 20 from 8:00 am – 1:20 pm 

  

The schedule to book an appointment with your child’s Kindergarten teacher is titled, 

Kindergarten Learning Conferences – November 18-20, 2020. 

This schedule will open for booking appointments at the same time as the Grade 1-6 Conference schedule à Tuesday, November 10 at 4:00 pm 

  

  • If you would prefer to have a conference via phone, please book an appointment and email the teacher(s) with whom you have booked to let them know your preference. 

  • All time slots are in 20-minute blocks. 

  • You will need to book a separate time slot with each classroom teacher if you have multiple children in the school. 

 

Your Child's Name 

 

Over the weekend, please talk to your child about the meaning and significance of their name.  We will be discussing this as a class next week. 

 

World Kindness Day 

 

Friday November 13 is World Kindness Day.  On Thursday and Friday, we read some stories about Kindness and discussed many ways that we can be kind.  Each student made their own link for our Kindness chain which we will proudly display in our classroom.
